MRT (or Moisture Retention Trays) are available in a range of standard sizes – 5″ x 8″, 6″ x 10″ and 8″ x 10″ to suit the current New Zealand market.
Moisture retention cells in the base of the trays are designed to hold liquid in place with surface tension preventing the trays from leaking, while allowing for easy rinsing of the trays prior to recycling.
Raised discs in the base of the tray lift the meat very slightly which enables the liquid to reach all cells in the base of the trays. The edges of the tray are rolled meaning edges that will not cut the Vitafilm or any staff or customers hands during handling.
The MRT trays are produced using 100% recyclable PET (1) plastic, meaning that the rinsed trays can be placed in kerbside recycling bins and production of the trays is completed under strict food industry conditions with all food contact accreditation available on request.
